What this site collects
Obtuse AI does not ask you to create an account. Basic hosting logs may include your IP address, browser type, requested page, and time of access for security and reliability. Our first-party analytics records aggregate page and referring-site counts without cookies, advertising identifiers, or a stored IP address. Global Privacy Control disables this page counter.
Messages and project inquiries
If you use the project brief form, the details you provide are saved in our secure intake queue and independently delivered through FormSubmit to chris@obtuseai.net. If you email us directly, we receive the information you choose to send. We use inquiry information to respond, evaluate a potential project, maintain necessary business records, and protect the service.
Meeting requests
If you request a published meeting window, we save your name, email, optional phone number, stated objective, selected time, and basic security metadata. The request is synchronized into the private Obtuse Work desktop workspace for human review. A request does not create a confirmed meeting or authorize an automatic response.
AI-assisted intake
We may use an AI service to screen obvious spam, summarize an inquiry, identify missing questions, and prepare an initial plan or response draft. This does not accept a contract, set a price, make a binding commitment, or authorize access to your systems. Consequential decisions remain human-controlled.
Payments
Payments are completed on a hosted payment provider. Obtuse AI does not receive or store your full card number. The provider handles payment data under its own privacy terms.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers needed to run the site or process a request, when legally required, or to protect people and systems.
Retention and your choices
We keep inquiry records only as long as reasonably needed for the conversation, potential engagement, business records, security, or legal obligations. You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion where applicable, or ask a privacy question by emailing chris@obtuseai.net.
